The southern safari parks of Tanzania are often overlooked in favour of their more famous northern counterparts. But the truth is the southern parks are preferred by safari purists. When you choose to take your safari here, you not only just enjoy the same range of amazing wildlife. Additionally, you get to taste the raw ‘frontier’ nature of the environments themselves. Ultimately, these parks are noticeably less busy than the ones in the north. So, you get to experience these beautiful habitats in a more untouched state. It’s an adventure made more special because of the sense of solitude.

Day 5 (Part Two) – Mikumi to Ruaha National Park (327km)

Day 6 – Ruaha National Park

Day 8 – Ruaha National Park to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar (622km to 920km)

We’ll take you from Ruaha to the airport, where you can transfer to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar. At the beach, you can choose from the following fantastic accommodations:

Day 11 – Beach

There is the option of going on a guided tour of Zanzibar on any of the days you stay at the beach. Alternatively, you can just soak up the sun.

Day 12 – Beach to Airport

All good things come to an end. We’ll take you safely to the airport. But it might be possible to enjoy some more sunshine before you go.
